The yacht charter market has been the initial segment in Sealease history.

Ever since our creation in 2006 we have focused on this niche market where we have financed both mono-hulls as well as catamarans. Whist being multi-branded we have developed a close collaboration with the main manufacturers in this industry. Our customers are the most renowned charter companies, operating on an international basis with Europe and the Caribbean being the main regions. Some only have 20 boats whilst others have hundreds of units in their portfolio. They capture the rising demand for luxury marine tourism and personalized services. Typically, the boats have a capacity of 6-12 passengers and are rented out for a week’s period, with captain or just bare boat.

Sealease taps into the increasing demand post-Covid for the renewal and/or extension of the existing fleets. We keep a finger on the pulse between offer (the manufacturers) and demand (the operators). Our customers determine the brand / model and our purchase power optimizes the eventual Total Cost of Ownership. We create leasing solutions for a period between 4 and 8 years with a rift of services that are bespoke with the client: from ordering, commissioning and flagging, to tailor made insurance packages.

Our leasing proposal is straight-forward: an initial down-payment is requested with monthly recurring leases thereafter. At the end of the lease period the operator can exercise a “purchase option” and acquire the boat at the agreed price. If not, then Sealease will put the boat on the second-hand market.

Our flexibility is a key differentiator, whether it is the tailoring of the service package, the offering of seasonality of lease rates or the geographical moves of the boat between the various bases if requested by our customer. “Sealease, we sea no limit”…
